I completed my studies at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. I graduated on the honour roll and with an award for Distinction and Recognition. In my graduating case study, I focused on relieving headaches through the use of myofascial release therapy to decrease the symptoms and tension around the upper back, neck and shoulders.
Before becoming a massage therapist, I enjoyed an active and healthy lifestyle. My favourite hobbies are hiking, running, meditation, bodybuilding, camping, yoga and travelling.
In the early years of her career, I experienced multiple injuries that ignited my passion and journey of therapy and healing involving massage, physiotherapy, chiropractic and acupuncture and osteopathy. Throughout my path and studies, I gained a deeper understanding of healing and recovering from pains and injuries to achieve long-lasting results.
In my practice, I use techniques such as Graston, relaxing Swedish massage, myofascial release, GTO release, trigger point therapy, passive and active stretching, dynamic release therapy and patient education. My treatment approach is tailored to the individual, using light to deep pressure depending upon the preference and needs of each patient.
I have a deep passion for constantly improving myself and my knowledge base and I look forward to continuing to expand my skills. In 2022, I dove into the fascinating world of TMJ health, completing specialized training to help people with jaw dysfunction. Since then, I’ve dedicated countless hours to mastering techniques that ease pain, improve mobility, and support overall wellness for my patients. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see how something as precise as jaw work can have such a profound impact on daily life.
Fast forward to 2024, and I took my passion for therapeutic care to the next level by completing Levels 1 and 2 at the prestigious Dr. Vodder Academy for Manual Lymphatic Drainage. This method has quickly become one of my favorite tools for promoting healing and reducing swelling. I’m currently working toward the advanced level, which will allow me to provide specialized care for patients managing cancer and lymphedema. It’s exciting to think about how this additional expertise will expand the ways I can help people feel their best.
Every step of this journey fuels my passion for blending knowledge, skill, and compassion to support my clients in living pain-free and vibrant lives.
